Kansas Senate Passes Pro-life Bill of a Generation

TOPEKA, KS – Today the Senate debated and approved the Value Them Both Amendment to the Kansas Constitution which will restore the people’s ability to place basic regulations around the abortion industry. After four hours of thorough debate, the Senate voted 28-12 to advance the measure out of the Senate.

Statement from Brittany Jones, Kansas Family Voice of Kansas Director of Advocacy:

“Value Them Both is the biggest pro-life vote of this generation and we are proud of the debate that happened on the Senate floor today. We are thankful that it has passed out of the Senate and look forward to continuing to work with legislative leadership so that ultimately, Kansas voters have the opportunity to ensure that women and babies in our state have the most basic safeguards.”
