If you’re like me, you’ve been getting weird text messages telling you that you aren’t registered to vote, even though you have been registered since you were 18. Or you’re getting an annoying reminder to register every time you get on social media. Well I’m not a celebrity or a famous athlete, but pop culture has finally picked up on something that is vital – actually taking the first step towards voting by registering.
The Left views voter registration as a way of pushing their progressive agenda and that’s why you’re seeing so many in the Liberal media pushing voter registration. But Christians have an even greater reason to register than just Patrick Mahomes telling them to do so – we have our call as citizens of both Heaven and this world. This is something that the Church has been promoting for years.
We are citizens of eternity, but we are also called to rule and reign here on earth. Being a part of the governmental process is just one of those ways. Registering to vote and actually voting are just the first step.
So, what can you do?
- You can register to vote easily on our website. Our website can actually check to make sure you are registered; unlike the annoying text messages you might be receiving. The voter registration deadline in Kansas is October 13.
- If you are already registered, you can also request an advanced ballot.
- Finally, you can host a Voter Registration Sunday at your church! Voter Registration Sunday is simple when you use our short, downloadable guide.
For Christians, voting is so much more than just doing what’s popular. It’s part of our calling as Christians.
Don’t get caught sitting on the sidelines in this monumental election – register to vote today.
For the sake of the call,
