We’ve told you over the past few months that abortion reversal works, and we’ve given you real-life stories as evidence. Stories that show how pregnant mothers had a change of heart after taking the first of two chemical abortion pills. But here is an interesting fact. Since the pandemic, there has been a shift. According to the Abortion Pill Rescue Network, they have received a record number of calls for abortion reversal So what is going on?
I see some possible reasons for this uptick of interest in chemical abortion reversals. Certain states have deemed that surgical abortions are nonessential services, so that avenue is closed to pregnant mothers, or in some cases, mothers want to limit exposure to surgical procedures and potential multiple visits to the abortion clinic. Either of those scenarios would mean chemical abortions are taking the place of otherwise planned surgical abortions and this would likely also translate into more interest in potential reversals. There may be other reasons for this reversal interest, but here is the important part: children are being saved!
These facts highlight the need for the new law Governor Burgum signed last session that required abortion doctors to provide information to women on how their chemical abortions might be reversed. That law is tied up in court right now but imagine if that was a current requirement as well. The number of preborn babies saved in North Dakota could skyrocket!
To me, all this underscores how we can never predict God’s timing or plans. He had a plan for these children, a plan for life, and through a most unlikely set of events, made it happen. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a new wave of reversals here in our state and across the nation, and let’s never stop fighting for these defenseless ones!
