The Kansas Christian Education Network (KS CEN) advocates for school choice and religious freedom in education, and equips Christian schools and home schools across Kansas to teach from a biblical worldview, free from government intrusion.
Across Kansas, Christian schools and home school families are doing the faithful, everyday work of raising a generation that knows Christ and sees the world through Scripture. The Kansas Christian Education Network (KS CEN), an initiative of the Kansas Family Voice Foundation, exists to protect their freedom to keep doing that work and to unite them into one statewide network with a shared voice.
Decisions made in Topeka reach into classrooms across the state, often without input from the educators they affect most. KS CEN keeps close watch on proposed bills and rules, lets members know when something could affect them, and works with lawmakers to keep unnecessary burdens off Christian schools and home school families.
We also believe every Kansas family should be able to choose a Christ-centered education, whatever their income or zip code. As school choice expands in Kansas, KS CEN works to ensure those programs welcome Christian schools as they are, so no school is asked to set aside its faith as the price of serving more students.
A Christian school’s convictions belong in every classroom, chapel, and hallway. Kansas law should protect a school’s ability to teach and operate in line with Scripture.
God entrusted children to their parents. Families, not government, should have the final say in how and where their children are educated.
Education dollars exist to serve students. When a family chooses a school, the support meant for their child should go with them.
A school should never have to trade its beliefs for a family’s ability to enroll. Choice programs must leave a Christian school’s mission untouched.
We bring Christian school leaders and home school families together into one statewide network, giving educators a stronger, shared voice in the conversations shaping Kansas education.
When a policy or outside pressure threatens a Christian school’s ability to teach and operate by its convictions, we step in and push back.
We carry the concerns of Christian educators to legislators and decision-makers in Topeka, making the case for educational liberty on their behalf.
Moms and dads, not the state, are the first teachers of their children. We defend their role in deciding how their kids learn and push for more quality options within reach of every Kansas household.
Many Kansas communities have no Christian school nearby. We help launch new schools where families have few or no options today.
Cost shouldn’t be the reason a child misses out on a Christ-centered classroom. Through the CEN SGO scholarship program, we help make Christian education affordable for more Kansas students.
Membership connects your school to advocacy in Topeka, timely legislative updates, and a community of Christian educators across the state.
