We alerted you over the past few weeks that Planned Parenthood and NDSU teamed up to present the Safe Space sex ed course to K-12 North Dakota teachers. Kansas Family Voice of North Dakota® has strongly opposed this attempt to further normalize Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion and pro-LGBT message with the teachers who educate North Dakota children.
Our organization, and other allies such as Concerned Women for America of North Dakota, North Dakota Right to Life, NDSU Collegians for Life, NDSU Catholic Health Ethics Association, and a number of churches wrote a letter to NDSU President Bresciani weeks ago, strongly urging him to end this relationship with Planned Parenthood (we still await an answer).
I want to thank all the organizations who stood for pro-life, pro-family values by singing onto the letter. I also appreciate other North Dakota organizations who independently contacted NDSU asking them to do the same thing.
However, there is another group that we need to thank for taking a strong stand on this issue – the 88 North Dakota legislators who sent a letter to NDSU. They took the first step in addressing this issue and sent an initial letter to President Bresciani expressing their displeasure and concerns with the university’s relationship with Planned Parenthood on this training program.
In signing onto this letter, these legislators have made themselves a target for Planned Parenthood ‘s email campaign, may have taken a public stand that could be very unpopular with their district voters, and have opened themselves up to negative media attention.
It’s time to say thank you to these legislators.
Rather than getting hundreds of emails from Planned Parenthood supporters, they instead need to receive thousands of emails from us thanking them for their support of pro-life and pro-family values!
You can easily email all 89 legislators by using our Action Center where you can also customize your message, if you’d like.
Let’s show our appreciation and thank these legislators who stand for life and for North Dakota families!
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Sincerely,
Mark Jorritsma
