This week my email is brief. I want to say thank you to Governor Burgum.
Governor Burgum has certainly done things in the past that uphold and support the pro-life and pro-family values you cherish, but this session in particular he signed House Bill 1336. As you are familiar by now, this bill strengthened North Dakota’s abortion informed consent laws so that women have access to information that a chemical abortion may be reversible if they change their mind. Governor Burgum signed the bill and Kansas Family Voice of North Dakota was proud to help support this critical legislation sponsored by Representative Dan Johnston from District 24.
A ceremonial signing for HB 1336 was held today and Kansas Family Voice of North Dakota was invited to participate (see above photo). Primary Sponsor Rep. Johnston, other co-sponsoring legislators, and allied organizations who helped make this possible are also pictured. If you have a chance, please also thank them for their involvement.
In addition to HB 1336, we want to thank Governor Burgum for his recent proclamation for prayer on behalf of those affected by flooding in our state. His willingness to issue this proclamation again underscores his compassion and love for North Dakotans, especially in times of crisis.
