Travel Requirements | In-state travel required to meet the objectives. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. A meal budget will be established to promote relationships. | |||
The Church Ambassador Network of Kansas considers every position one of ministry. It is essential that all team members have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and fully subscribe to the Church Ambassador Network of Kansas Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision, and Values. They should be able to demonstrate their sense of calling and desire to work in a ministry that engages in the American system of government to expand God’s kingdom in the halls of government. Team members are encouraged to financially support this ministry on a regular basis. DESCRIPTION >>Regional Coordinators are pastors or church members serving in local Kansas churches. They must receive support and coordination from their church to serve in this position. The Regional Coordinator is a relationship maker. They work to fulfill the Church Ambassador Network of Kansas mission of “Inspiring the Church to Engage Government for the Advance of God’s Kingdom”. They assist the Director and other team members in facilitating relationships between pastors and church members and governing authorities. It is essential that Regional Coordinators have strong relationships with pastors and churches in their region and work to develop new ones. >>Regional Coordinators connect pastors and churches with governing authorities. They serve pastors and churches by helping churches establish ministry to governing authorities at the local and state levels. Regional Coordinators are ministers as well as equippers of others, for ministry. They desire to see governing authorities take their next step with Jesus and they promote justice and righteousness in the personal and public lives of governing authorities. They see themselves as tools to resource and equip pastors and churches in how they engage governing authorities and cultural issues in a biblical and God-honoring way. RESPONSIBILITIES Relationship Development >>Maintains and builds relationships with pastors and church members in their region. >>Establishes relationships with governing authorities in their region and at the state level. They specifically engage two Kansas State Senators and six to seven Kansas State Representatives. >>Connects pastors and church members with governing authorities by educating and advocating for a proper relationship between church and state. >>Models and leads in witnessing the gospel to all. Events and Promotion >>Informs pastors of Church Ambassador Network of Kansas events. >>Assists and leads as needed at Church Ambassador Network of Kansas events. Administrative >>Attends meetings, via video or in person, as required. >>Maintains the church and pastor database with up-to-date contact information. >>Committed to ongoing professional development based on supervisor recommendations. Development >>Encourages pastors, church members, and churches to partner with the Church Ambassador Network of Kansas. REPORTING AND MEASURABLES >>Specific reporting requirements will be established in coordination with the Director and reviewed annually. SCHEDULE AND AVAILABILITY >>Regional Coordinators of the Church Ambassador Network of Kansas are part-time positions. Their schedule and availability are coordinated with the Director. Specifics will be determined during the hiring process. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS >>Have a mature personal faith, including private devotional life, consistent approach to a deepening personal relationship with Christ, and adhere to the ministry’s statement of faith, mission, vision, and values. This includes embracing individuals representing diverse communities within the Christian faith. >>Currently serves as a pastor or is a church member of a local church. Hiring must be approved and coordinated with their church. >>Demonstrate a desire to work in a ministry which engages in the American system of government. >>As a team member, effectively build a culture of trust with other team members ensuring conflicts are resolved effectively and relationships solidified by candidly, yet respectfully, discussing problems and realistic solutions that encourage an “us against the problem” perspective. >>Ability to work in a collaborative, team-centered environment. >>Winsome culture warrior who embraces protecting the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death; God’s design for marriage, family, and human sexuality; and religious liberty. >>Strong oral and written communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator including public speaking experience. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS >>Proficient (or ability to be trained) in the use of technology, including Microsoft applications, on-line video meeting software and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database (current Charity Engine). >>Requires being a self-starter, managing the part-time hours, at times on weekends and evenings, to effectively accomplish the mission. >>Willing to travel within the state as needed.
