The facts:
- Kansas has created reports on a variety of demographic figures, like child birth for decades. These reports are anonymous and voluntary! This is not a threat to women.
- When it comes to IVF and contraceptives no one is trying to ban either. Under Kansas Statute (KS 65-6702), in vitro fertilization and contraception are protected in Kansas. The law says, “The use of any drug or device that inhibits or prevents ovulation, fertilization or implantation of an embryo and disposition of the product of in vitro fertilization prior to implantation are lawful in this state and neither the state nor any political subdivision of the state shall prohibit the use of any such drug or device or the disposition of such product.”
- And it’s simply false that he supports a ban without exceptions. In fact, he voted against a ban when it came before the Senate in 2024. See https://www.kslegislature.gov/li/b2023_24/measures/vote_view/je_20240321181124_530434/.
